There are better emotions, better ways to explore the past, better philosophy lessons to accompany breakfast. One of the optimistic news that one brings when one returns home is that the experience, however caustic it may have been for the psyche, did not cause damage that was not repairable, an important thing that certainly does not exempt the oppressors from responsibility.
